Pune: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) is all set to deploy newly air-conditioned electric bus services from the Lohegaon airport to five different parts of the city.
The PMPML has 142 air conditioned e-buses in its fleet at present. All these buses will be mainly used for ferrying passengers from the airport to different parts of the city. PMPML has decided to charge Rs 50, Rs 100 and Rs 150 for these services depending on the distance between the airport and the destination. The PMPML board of directors has given its final approval for this proposal on Thursday (October 1).
PMP Transport Manager Dattatrey Zende said, “The air conditioned e-buses have ample space for passengers to keep their luggage. We have considered this aspect while approving the use of AC e-buses. PMPML has also deputed some of its employees at the airport arrival lounge to inform passengers about this service.”
