In response, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar announced that protests, including 'rasta roko' agitations, will not be permitted at Navale Bridge or other sensitive roads and junctions in the city. Police said such protests often create law and order concerns as crowds can become difficult to control.

The administration stated that while citizens have the right to protest, blocking major roads and highways causes inconvenience to the public and can disrupt emergency movement and city traffic management.
