The sudden showers caught many commuters off guard, leading to brief traffic disruptions in some areas.

Over the past week, Pune and its surrounding regions had witnessed a steady rise in temperatures, with daytime highs ranging between 37°C and 40°C. The combination of intense heat and humidity had made outdoor activities increasingly uncomfortable for residents. Weather conditions changed significantly on Sunday, with rain bringing cooler temperatures across the city.
