Pune, 20 November 2025: City continued to experience a sharp winter chill as several parts recorded minimum temperatures below 10°C for the third consecutive day on Wednesday.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Shivajinagar registered 9.5°C, marking this winter’s first single-digit temperature and remaining 5.6°C below normal. The reading was even lower than Mahabaleshwar, which recorded 10°C.

Areas such as Pashan and Haveli also stayed in the 9°C range over the past three days, with Haveli noted as the coldest in the region over this period. Residents across Pune have been experiencing noticeably colder mornings and evenings since the beginning of the week.

The IMD has indicated that most of Konkan–Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha will experience dry weather over the next three days. However, light rain is likely on November 22 and 23 in isolated pockets of Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra.

For Pune, minimum temperatures are expected to rise slightly to 10°C or above on November 20 and 21. Between November 22 and 25, the sky is expected to remain mostly clear with occasional cloudy spells.
