Pune: Thief slides cash worth Rs 1.05 lakh from under pillow

The thief made a way with a huge cash present in a cash in a robbery at a home in Kondhwa area while the owner of the bag was sleeping.

Pune: The Kondhwa police are investigating a complaint by a 45-year-old craftsman regarding cash, worth Rs 1,05,000, having been stolen from his house on March 6.

The thief made a way with a huge cash present in a cash in a robbery at a home in Kondhwa area while the owner of the bag was sleeping. What is interesting is that the thief allegedly took the cash from under the owner’s pillow while he was in deep sleep.

The incident took place on Tuesday in Tilekarnagar of Kondhwa area. Pandu Khatravat (45) has lodget a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station.

According to the police, Khatravat works as a bricklayer and resides in Tilekarnagar of Yevlewadi along with his other family members.

Few days back, he received Rs one lakh of his work. Due to rise in the mercury from last two days, he was sleeping in the vacant space outside his residence. Before sleeping on Tuesday, he put his bag of cash under his pillow and slept. When he woke up on Wednesday, he didn't found the bag beneath his pillow. After realising that somebody has stolen his bag, he rushed to the police station.

Kondhwa Police is probing the matter further.
