Pune, 1st April 2026: The Pune Traffic Police has initiated a citywide drive to remove abandoned vehicles from public spaces, aiming to improve traffic flow and overall sanitation. Several such vehicles have already been cleared from key roads as part of the campaign.

Officials noted that many vehicles had been left unattended for long periods, turning into dumping spots for garbage and creating foul odours. These vehicles not only blocked road space but also posed environmental and hygiene concerns for nearby residents.
