Pune, 23 February 2026: Traffic movement at Dive Ghat on the Alandi–Pandharpur Palkhi Highway will remain completely suspended for two hours on February 23 due to ongoing road widening work.

The closure will be enforced between 1 PM and 3 PM on the stretch from Hadapsar to Dive Ghat, according to traffic police officials.

The road widening project is being undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). As part of the work, controlled blasting will be carried out to break rocky portions of the hill in the Dive Ghat area. Authorities have decided to halt traffic during this period to ensure public safety.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav said, “Traffic will remain fully closed between 1 PM and 3 PM at Dive Ghat due to blasting work for road widening. Citizens and motorists are requested to use alternate routes during this time. Heavy vehicle drivers should plan their journey in advance.”

Commuters travelling on the Alandi–Pandharpur route have been urged to cooperate with the temporary restrictions and avoid inconvenience by choosing alternative routes during the specified hours.
