

Pune, 1st September 2026: Two men have been booked by Bawdhan Police for allegedly stopping vehicles without permission on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway and obstructing public traffic while filming new vehicles and making social media reels.
The case was registered as Crime No. 385/2026 under Sections 285, 281, 223 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Police seized the two Fortuner vehicles allegedly used for the shoot, bearing registration numbers MH 14 KH 5644 and MH 14 LU 1080.
The drivers, Somnath Ashok Kedari of Kusgaon in Maval and Ajay Sambhaji Yadav, are facing legal action in connection with the incident.
Police said stopping vehicles on a busy highway for reels or filming can disrupt traffic and increase the risk of accidents and danger to other road users.
The action was carried out by the investigation team of Bawdhan Police Station, which warned that strict action would be taken against those who create traffic obstructions on public roads for filming or social media content.
