Pune University exams: Dates announced for final year re-examinations
Pune: After thousands of complaints of technical problems by final year students, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Monday made a clear decision to conduct hold re-examination. The re-examinations will be conducted from November 5.
The re-examination will be conducted on November 5, 6 and 7 via online mode. The final year exams of Pune University were postponed amid the rising cases of the novel coronavirus. However, the examinations were held in offline and online mode from October 12. Students during examinations faced multiple technical glitches.
The re-exams for subjects such as Psychology, Sociology, Pharmacology, Engineering, Architecture, Physical Education will be held on November 5. The re-exams for subjects of Commerce, Management and Law will be conducted on November 6 while the exams for Arts and Science will be held on November 7. All these examinations will be held from 10 am to 6 pm, informed Mahesh Kakade, Director, Examinations and Assessment Board of the University.
Also, SSPU is all set to conduct backlog exams for non-final year students from November 25. Pune University will conduct Backlog exams in an online proctored manner. The exams will be held in MCQ format and will consist of objective type questions.
On the other side, the university will also conduct examinations for students who had applied for an improvement scheme. A window to apply for the improvement scheme was unlocked and over 18,000 students sought class improvement.
Meanwhile, SPPU has postponed the Maharashtra SET June exam 2020 for Maharashtra and Goa. The notice released by the University said that the dates would be declared soon on the official website.
