Pune: Online-offline examinations for college students continued on Tuesday at designated colleges under Savitribai Phule Pune University in Pune division but amid technical problems in the exam session of the afternoon batch, the university now have decided to reschedule the exams for five papers.

The exam (online-offline) was started at a normal time however, the early afternoon batch of students continued with their exams late into the evening. Due to these glitches, exams of five subjects had to be rescheduled to October 17.

The exams of following five subjects: TY BSc: Real Analysis Part 1; MSc Mathematics: Advanced Calculus; BCom: Business Management (Marathi); MSc Chemistry: Inorganic Reaction Mechanism and TY BSc: Solid State Physics were rescheduled ahead to October 17 and will be conducted between 4 pm and 5 pm.

One of the parent said, “My son was going to attend the exam paper for MBA third semester backlog on Tuesday and the exam was slated to begin at 1 pm. However, as he was trying to log-in, the message 'No test active, please contact your administrator' was displayed. I called the help centre, we were told that this is a common problem, we need to wait. The exam was he finally at 7 pm.”

On Monday, a delay of over two hours took place in downloading offline question papers as MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) option was also given but questions were missing from the paper itself resulting some technical glitches on the first day of the online-offline final year degree examinations.

The principals of some of the examination centres said that there was no problem on Tuesday. The offline exam started on time today. Question papers and OTP were sent from the university around 9.30 am in the morning. The question papers were distributed to the students.

Many students have also complained that the helpline number issued by the varsity is invalid or is not connected. Thus, a new helpline number 8826587588 has also been issued by the exam department.
