The victim, identified as Ashwini Sandeep Napte, had visited the park with her family for a leisure outing. While using a water slide, she reportedly crashed onto the bottom of the pool due to inadequate water depth. The impact caused severe spinal injuries, leaving her unconscious on the spot.

She sustained multiple fractures in her spine, and doctors later confirmed that the injuries resulted in paralysis affecting half of her body. What began as a routine family outing quickly turned into a medical emergency, leaving her family and other visitors in shock.

“The water level in the pool was too low. When she came down the slide, she hit the bottom with great force, causing serious injuries,” a witness said.

The incident has raised serious concerns about safety measures at such tourist destinations, especially during peak travel seasons when footfall is high. Questions are now being raised about whether adequate precautions and supervision were in place.
