Water Supply to be Disrupted in Parts of Pune on June 12 for Pipeline Work

Pune, 10th June 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced that water supply will be shut on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in several areas under the Warje Water Treatment Plant. This is due to planned maintenance work, which includes connecting a new water pipeline, installing valves, and conducting tests to resolve water distribution issues under the Bhama Askhed project.

Due to this maintenance work, water supply will remain closed throughout Thursday and will resume on Friday, June 13, with low pressure in the morning. Citizens are requested to take note of this schedule and store adequate water in advance.

The affected areas include large parts of western Pune, especially those under the Warje Water Treatment Plant such as Chandni Chowk Tank area, Pashan, Bhugaon Road, Kokate Vasti, Bavdhan, Bhusari Colony (both right and left sides), Guruganesh Nagar, Suraj Nagar, Sagar Colony, Bharti Nagar, Sarathi Shilp Society, Shantiban Society, Shastrinagar, Paramhans Nagar, Baner, Balewadi, Someshwarwadi, Sutarwadi, Sus Road, Mahalunge, Panchvati, and more.

In addition, areas receiving water from the Pancard Club GSR Tank will also face a disruption. These include Baner Gaothan, Chakanakar Mala, Pancard Club Road, Pallod Farms, Shinde Parkhe Vasti, Vidhate Vasti, Medipoint Road, Vijaynagar, Ambedkar Nagar, and Dattanagar.

Several eastern parts of the city that are supplied by the Bhama Askhed Water Treatment Project will also be affected. These areas include Dhanori, Vadgaon Sheri, Kharadi, Viman Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Tingrenagar, Yerwada, Sanjay Park, Lohgaon, Borate Vasti, and Shejwal Park (Kharadi).
