Pune, 27th July 2026: After days of intense monsoon showers, rainfall activity across Pune city and district eased significantly on Sunday. Light rain was reported in several parts of the city during the morning, while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall over the next two days.
With the weather improving on the weekend, many residents headed to tourist destinations, gardens, and scenic spots to enjoy the pleasant conditions. The rain subsided by afternoon, leaving behind humid weather with occasional sunshine breaking through the clouds.
According to IMD data, Pashan recorded the highest rainfall in the city with 5 mm on Sunday. Other areas, including Shivajinagar, NDA, Lohegaon, and Koregaon Park, received between 2 mm and 4 mm of rainfall.
The reduced rainfall comes after a week of heavy downpours that affected normal life and caused waterlogging in several parts of Pune.
The weather department has forecast that rainfall activity will remain weak over the next two days, with only light to moderate showers expected across the city. Skies are likely to remain mostly cloudy thereafter, while maximum temperatures may rise slightly due to reduced rainfall.
Meanwhile, the ghat regions around Pune are expected to continue receiving light to moderate rainfall at isolated places over the next few days.
