Pune, 23 July 2025: To tackle the long-standing civic and infrastructure issues in and around Hinjawadi IT Park, a WhatsApp-based platform will be created for real-time coordination between companies, citizen associations, and government agencies. This decision was made during a review meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar on Tuesday. The platform will allow companies to directly raise issues, which concerned departments must resolve promptly.
A dedicated committee has also been formed under the Divisional Commissioner to address these issues systematically. The meeting saw the participation of PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi, and officials from various departments.
The review included checking whether Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and PMRDA were following directives previously issued by the Chief Minister. Officials were instructed to ensure continuity in these efforts.
The PMRDA has taken active steps in the past fortnight, demolishing 166 unauthorized structures in the area. Dr. Mhase confirmed that all remaining encroachments will be removed following a comprehensive survey, and notices are being issued to illegal constructions.
Emphasizing the government’s seriousness about timely development in Hinjawadi, Dr. Pulkundwar instructed departments to complete tasks within deadlines. He warned that any delay, especially in road repairs or other critical works, will attract action under the Disaster Management Act, to be enforced by the District Collector.
