Pune, 6th November 2025: After several weeks of clouds and unseasonal rain through all October and early November, at last Pune is beginning to feel the chill of winter. On November 5, both minimum and maximum temperatures dipped in city, offering residents a cooler start and end to their day.
IMD data shows that Shivajinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 18.5°C on Wednesday morning, about 2°C lower than the previous day. The maximum temperature in the area settled around 29.7°C, nearly 1.6°C below normal. Other parts of Pune also noted a similar fall of over the last 24 hours.
Meteorologists say the drop is mainly due to the absence of cloud cover, which allows heat to escape during the night, causing colder mornings and evenings. With no major weather systems active across Pune and Maharashtra, the region is experiencing dry and stable conditions.
According to IMD’s senior meteorologists, weather is predicted mainly clear skies for the next four to five days. Skies may be partly cloudy on November 6, but from November 7 onward, clear weather is expected. There are no weather alerts for Pune during this period.
With skies clearing and temperatures gradually falling, Pune is likely to transition fully into winter over the next week, bringing pleasant and colder mornings for residents.
