Pune, 26 January 2026: Pune Railway Division has decided to change the terminal stations of two important trains operating in the Pune region. As part of this decision, the Huzur Sahib Nanded–Pune Express will no longer terminate at Pune station and will instead end its journey at Hadapsar station.
According to railway officials, train number 17630 Huzur Sahib Nanded–Pune Express will arrive at Hadapsar at 4:35 am. Passengers travelling onward to Pune station can use train number 11422 Solapur–Pune DEMU, which departs from Hadapsar at 5:25 am. The railway administration has appealed to passengers to make use of this connecting service.
In addition, from January 26, both the Nanded–Pune Express and the Pune–Harangul–Pune Express will originate from and terminate at Hadapsar. These trains will no longer run up to Pune station, and passengers have been advised to take note of this operational change.
However, the decision has drawn criticism from passenger organisations. They have pointed out that there is no PMPML bus service available from Hadapsar during early morning hours. As a result, passengers may be forced to depend on auto-rickshaws or private vehicles, often at higher costs.
While the railway has suggested the DEMU service as an alternative, organisations argue that passengers must wait nearly an hour at the station, causing inconvenience.
Passenger groups have urged the railway administration to reconsider the decision or provide better last-mile connectivity to ensure commuter convenience.
