Rlys cancels trains due to agitation in Bengal

PUNE: Due to ongoing Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest in Bengal, the Railway has decided to cancel a few trains including Pune-Howrah Duronto and Humsafar Express till further notice.

As per the Pune Railway Division, train number 20822 Santragachi-Pune Humsafar Express was cancelled on December 14. Due to this, the train will not arrive on December 16. Similarly, train number 20821 Pune-Santragachi Humsafar Express was cancelled on Monday. The railway has returned the full amount to all the passengers.

Train number 12222/21 Howrah-Pune-Howrah Duronto Express has been cancelled due to agitations in Bengal. 

“The decision was taken to cancel the trains due to agitations and unrest at Sankrail, Nalpur, Maurigram, Bankura Nayabaj stations. The trains will resume soon,” said a senior officer, Pune Railway Division.
