PUNE: Rotaract Club of Pune Kothrud Marathwada Mitramandal (RCPKMM) has organised a grand fashion festival II on December 8 at Marathwada Mitramandal College ground.
The event seeks to attain women empowerment, preservation of Indian culture and upliftment of Adivasi girls.
“Through the ramp-walk and fashion show, the event provides a very good platform for women. Also today, western culture is invading Indian culture and, hence, preserving and encouraging Indian culture is one of the purposes of the event,” chairperson of the event Sattyajeet Karale Patil said.
He further added, ”The funds raised through this event will be utilised for the education of tribal girls like giving them bicycles, etc. We are in contact with tribal communities of Chandrapur and Thane.”
