PUNE: Sakal Media Group’s news channel Saam TV has again emerged as No. 1 amongst all Marathi news channels.
In the seventh-week ratings by Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) of India, Saam has left all eminent news channels behind as 25 per cent of viewers have shown preference for the channel this week.
Moreover, 48 news programmes on Saam TV have featured among the 100 top news programmes this time. The findings by BARC show that Saam has maintained its unbiased and impactful journalism. Amongst the top 100 new programmes, ABP Maza has 29, TV9 has 9 and Zee 24 Taas has 4 programmes.
Not a single news programmes of News18 Lokmat has featured in the top 100.
While 23 per cent of viewers have given preference to ABP Maza and TV9, Zee 24 Taas has 17 per cent and News18 Lokmat channel has 13 per cent of the market share.
Saam TV’s new features like Top 50, World News This Week, Saam Update, Viral Satya, Mega Prime Time, 36 Jilhe 36 Reporters, Maharashtra Express and Spotlight have received the maximum response from viewers.
Saam TV has been consistently highlighting key issues of the public, farmers, rural development and employment. They have been unfolding the truth from the news, and therefore, Saam TV has stood out among the other new channels. Audiences of all age groups have appreciated the channel.
