‘Tantrik’ trickery: Man in Pune arrested under Black Magic Act

A man was arrested by police for allegedly trying to cheat people via ‘black magic’ in Pimpri Chinchwad area

Pune: A 40-year-old man was arrested by Pimpri Chinchwad Police for allegedly trying to cheat people via ‘black magic’.

The accused is identified as Gautam Pandharinath More (resident of Chikhali). An FIR was registered at the Chikhali Police Station.

According to the police, Constable Santosh Bangar along with other police personnel were patrolling at night near Kudalwadi area in Chikhali. Around at 3.30 am police saw the accused More walking with a black colour bag.

Due to his suspicious moves, police asked him about himself and enquired about the bag. The accused tried to flee from the spot but the police nabbed him. The incident took place on Sunday night. During the investigation, police found some items along with a weapon used for performing black magic in his bag. The further investigations revealed that the accused was visiting one of the houses in the area to perform some rituals.

He also told the name of the person to whom he is visiting. The accused also confessed that he had promised a few people to solve multiple problems by performing ‘puja’. The person where the accused was visiting also told police that the accused had promised him to solve his difficulties by performing a ‘puja’.

Police have arrested Gautam More under Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013. Police is probing the case further.
