Three booked for using firm’s Rs 1.65 cr

Pune: Three persons working in Nexa showroom in Fatima Nagar were booked for criminal breach of trust after they allegedly utilised funds of Rs 1.65 crore belonging to the company. The incident took place from April 2017 to September 2017. 

As per the Wanawadi police, the accused were identified as Jayesh Vengulekar, Senior Relationship Manager, Sandip Shinde, Delivery Coordinator and a woman who works as a relationship manager at the company. 

The accused were booked under sections  408 (Criminal breach of trust), 418 (Cheating with knowledge that wrongful loss may ensue to person whose interest offender is bound to protect), 381 (Theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master) and others of the Indian Penal Code. 

Kanvarjeetsingh Sehgal (45) has lodged a complaint in this regard at Wanawadi police station. As per the complaint, the woman in connivance with two other accused sold 40 cars to different persons. “The woman cooked the books and used the money for personal use without depositing the same in the company.

The total fraud amount stands to Rs 1.65 crore,” the complaint stated.
