

Pune, 4th February 2026: Police arrested two men for allegedly possessing and selling MD (mephedrone) drugs worth over ₹12.5 lakh in the Kharadi area during an early-morning operation on Tuesday, police said.
The arrested accused have been identified as Motisingh Shravansinh Rajpurohit (28) and Harish Sujanaram Devasi (22). Both are currently residing in Wagholi and are natives of Rajasthan.
According to police, the Anti-Narcotics Squad was on patrol in the Kharadi area in the early hours of February 3 when the duo was spotted behaving suspiciously near IT Park Phase II. Police detained them and conducted a search.
“During the search, 27 grams of MD drugs and other related material were recovered from their possession,” police said. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth ₹12.41 lakh.
Following the seizure, a case was registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Kharadi Police Station. Police said further investigation is ongoing to trace the source of the drugs and possible links to a larger network.
