Unknown thieves attempt robbery at ATM

Pune: A bunch of unknown thieves tried to commit a robbery at an ATM in Kondhwa on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

A case in this regard has been registered at Kondhwa police station.

According to the information provided by Kondhwa police, some unidentified thieves tried to break open the ATM of Kotak Mahindra bank at Salunke Vihar.

However, the attempt of thieves went in vain and they escaped from the spot since they were unable to break the machine.

According to the information given by the police, theĀ  thieves managed to enter the ATM centre in the absence of the guard, however, the act of thieves have been caught on the CCTV camera and the police has started their investigation in order to nab them.

Police has booked the unidentified thieves under section 380 (Theft in dwelling house), 511 (Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or another imprisonment) and 427
( Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of IPC
