Vanrai Foundation will hold model village expo

PUNE: Vanrai Foundation has organised a huge exhibition based on Mahatma Gandhi’s ‘Go to village’ concept.

The exhibition will display bamboo cycles, non-renewable energy equipment, environmental books, hand tractors, electric bicycles, household appliances, etc.

The exhibition has been organised on the occasion of Varnai Foundation’s 34th anniversary.

On this year’s anniversary day, Vanrai decided to create a replica of a typical Indian village.

Punekars can experience the environment and surroundings of the actual village at this model village.

Citizens will also be able to have a closer look at Vanrai’s journey so far in the last 33 years.

The exhibition is open at the foundation’s premises at the Mitra Mandal Chowk in Parvati from 10 am to 8 pm on Wednesday, July 10. It is free and open to all.

While students from schools and colleges will be visiting during the morning session, the public will be able to visit 4 pm onwards.
