Pune: “It’s the students who have the drive and the energy to do something for the society and the country. Hence, it’s necessary to determine the career while at school itself. This Summit by YIN will certainly act as a guiding force for the same,” said Navi Mumbai Mayor Jaywant Sutar.

He was speaking on Wednesday while inaugurating the three-day YIN Summer Youth Summit Organised by Young Inspirators Network at Karmaveer Bhaurav Patil College Ground in Vashi.

MLA Sandeep Naik; Dr N Ramaswami, Commissioner, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation; Sunil Patil, Founder, Spectrum Academy; Nilesh Khare, Editor, Saam TV; and  Hemant Juvekar, Associate Editor, Sakal were present on the occasion.

Sutar said that while earlier, the students had to choose between just three streams of education, now because of advancement in information and technology, the career opportunities have expanded.

MLA Naik said, “In today’s competitive world, the students need to decide their career while schooling.

“However, this is not easy, and the students face many hurdles which can be overcome with the help of camps like these. Today’s youth are very ambitious, and all they need is the right direction, which is being provided by the initiatives like YIN.”

Sunil Patil of Spectrum Academy added, “YIN has been working with several colleges in the state and for the past three years, YIN workshops are being organised. India is an emerging superpower in the world, and this feat can be achieved only with the help of the young generation.”

One of the highlights of the summit included an interview of Jitendra Joshi, Managing Director, Abhi Group of Companies and Vastupal Ranka, Director, Ranka Jewellers.
