Pune: Angel Mickey Minie School defeated Kasturba Gandhi English Medium School 3-0 in the first round of the Under-14 category of the Inter-School Football Tournament being played at SSPMS Ground on Friday.
For Angel Mickey Minie School, Pranav Farate scored twice in the 5th and 8th minutes of the game while Aditya Jhagade scored the third goal in the 15th minute.
In another match, Hutchings High School got past Anglo Urdu Boys High School 1-0 with Manav Dunwani scoring in the 17th minute.
Range Hills Secondary School defeated NMV Prashala 3-0 to enter the second round. Saurav Bhavdhame from Range Hills scored a barce in the 5th and 8th minutes while the third goal was scored by Aditya Bhalerao in the 23rd minute.
In another fixture, Vibgyor High School, Magarpatta defeated Vidyanchal High School, Baner 2-0. Swayam shah (17th) and Atharva Sonar (22nd) got on the score sheet for Vibgyor.
In the Under-17 action, Army Public School, Khadki beat St Frnacis High School 4-0. Also registering a win was Vikhe Patil Memorial School who beat Don Bosco High School 4-3.
