PUNE: Atul Pawar struck a fine 29-ball unbeaten 101 as Yash Riddhi A Wing & B Wing Co-operative Housing Society, Shivane scored eight-wicket win over Sawkash Nagar Co-op Housing Society, Kondhwa Budruk, on the Day 2 of action in the Sakal Society Cricket League Presented by VTP Realty at the SP College Ground on Sunday.
Chasing a total of 108 set up by Sawkash Society, Pawar steered his team towards the winning line single-handedly as he hit two fours and 13 sixes in his 29-ball unbeaten stay at the crease that helped Yash Riddhi Society post 110 for 2 with one over to spare.
The Day 2 of action saw Ramesh Rathod, Rajesh Kulkarni and Anway Agte winning Man-of-the-match awards twice in a day playing for their respective societies—Dhayari’s Vijaynagar Society, Dighi’s Anand Aashray Society and Kothrud’s Nav Ajantha Avenue as league matches in Group C and D were played.
