COEP’s Zest 2018 opens today

Pune: Satish Jadhav finished on top in the first ever 10km run organised by College Of Engineering Pune (COEP) Zest from COEP ground to Pashan and back on Sunday.

The event was a part of College of Engineering Pune’s annual sports event—Zest 2018—which is all set to commence from Thursday at three centrally located grounds in Pune and will go on for four days.

Satish Jadhav finished on top after clocking 30 minutes 48 seconds, while Ganesh Hande was second clocking 31 minutes 32 seconds followed by Atharva Hazar (34:24).

Rohini Vaidya stood first in the girls category clocking 43 minutes 39 seconds while Madhulika Yadav stood second crossing the finish line in 49 minutes 47 seconds. Other categories in the run included 3km and 5 km events. The event witnessed participation of around 700 runners from all age groups.

Boys:
Above 18 (10 km): 1. Satish Jadhav 30 mins 48 secs, 2.Ganesh Hande 31:32, 3. Atharva Hazar 34:24.
5km: 1.Feroz Khan 18 mins 24 secs, 2. Rohan Thorat 19:21, 3. Niranjan  Nikam  20:44.
Under-18 (10km): 1. Ojas Gandhe 1 hr 01 min 17sec, 2.  Ashutosh Gandhe  1:02:40.
5 km: 1. Ayush Ingle 37:15.
Girls:
Above 18 (10 km): 1. Rohini Vaidya 43:39, 2. Madhulika Yadav 49:47, 3. Shrishti Shelke 1:05:40. 
5km: 1. Mamta Walvi 24:29, 2. Ridhima Budhiraja 30:13, 3.Harleen Virk 30:31.
Under-18 (10 km): 1. Jhi Waykhole 1:18:20.
5km: 1. Anvi Gawali 32:01.
