Cycle race to be held for flood victims

Pune: With an aim to help Kerala flood victims, Track&Trial, Chinchwad, is all set to organise a cycling competition which will be held on August 25.

The races will be held in 60km and 40km categories. The races will be flagged off from Chinchwad Station Chowk. Cyclists, who are taking part in the 40km race, will go till Kamshet and return to the starting point whereas for 60km race, riders will return from Vadgaon to the starting point.

The amount collected from the registration fees will be donated to Regional Sports Centre (RSC), Kochi, a sports facility closely working for the benefit of the local community.

Registration fee for the  cycle race is Rs 500. Every rider will get a medal after the completion of the race while the winner will be awarded a trophy. Interested cyclists from Pune and  Pimpri-Chinchwad can contact 9881123119. Helmet is mandatory for all participants.
