Harry Kane has put his foot ahead by scoring the 100th goal for Bayern Munich, in a record-breaking 104 matches. The England captain's feat makes him the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a single club, surpassing the joint record previously held by Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland, who both required 105 matches for Real Madrid and Manchester City, respectively.

Bayern Munich's 4-0 home victory against Werder Bremen on Friday, resulted in the club's perfect start to the Bundesliga season to five wins, with Kane bagging a brace on the night. Putting Bayern 2-0 ahead in the 44th minute by converting a penalty. This successful spot-kick marked his 18th consecutive successful penalty in the Bundesliga, maintaining a clean record from the spot.

Kane's second goal of the evening, came 20 minutes into the second half. The other goals for the Bavarians were scored by Jonathan Tah and Konrad Laimer. At 32 years old, Kane is currently the leading Bundesliga scorer, with 10 goals in Bayern’s first five games of the season.

Since joining the Bundesliga giant from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, Kane has quickly established himself as a pivotal figure, becoming the 19th player to score 100 goals for the club. His phenomenal display earned high praise from Bayern manager Vincent Kompany. "The way he achieved this record and still puts in so much work for the team, I think that’s the inner hunger and desire he has," Kompany stated.
