India vs England T20: Virat Kohli and Eoin Morgan to lock horns with an eye on World Cup

Ahmedabad: After a great victory in the Test series, hosts India will now look to conquer shortest format of the game as they ready for exciting series against England. The visitors currently are the number one ranked T20I side in the world.

While Virat and co dominated the series in whites, defeating Englishmen in the T20s won't be easy task for India. With all eyes set on the T20 World Cup scheduled in India later this year, both teams have opted a strong squad for the T20 series starting from Friday at the newly constructed Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Talking about the pitch, Motera is expected to be batsman-friendly as it always been in the country during white-ball cricket.

Coming to the Indian side, Rohit Sharma is almost certain to begin every game, there is a tough fight for places, at least in the top order. KL Rahul, who opened for India in the last T20I series, will get tough fight from Shikhar Dhawan.

The fresh faces of Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan and Rahul Tewatia also got their maiden call-up for T20s, after impressing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2020. Talking about bowling department, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shardul Thakur, T Natarajan and Bhuvaneshwar will hold the key. Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Hardik Pandya and Rahul Tewatia are all-rounders included the side.

Coming to the English side, Eoin Morgan will lead the side in T20 cricket. Moeen Ali has also joined the side. Jason Roy, Sam Billings, Tom Curran, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid will also don the Blue jersey. Get ready for India vs England T20 series starting from Friday.
