After two months of enthralling cricket, the world's most popular cricketing tournament, the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded on Tuesday, as the Mumbai Indians defeated the Delhi Capitals in the final at Dubai.

While the big names rose to the occasion, as this season once again saw many young guns who made their mark in the tournament with their stellar performances. Multiple awards were also handed out at the post-match presentation ceremony on Tuesday. Take a look at the winners of the IPL 2020 end of season awards.

Orange Cap

No doubt the cap was in KL Rahul’s bag after the KXIP captain led his strong club in the entire tournament. The Karnataka batsman scored 670 runs in the tournament. While he wasn't able to captain his side in semi-finals, Rahul's one hundred and five fifties provided great entertainment for his fans.

Purple Cap

Delhi Capitals pacer Kagiso Rabada bagged the Purple Cap. With 30 wickets in his kitty, he helped his club reach the final of the season. The South African pacer even had a decent economy rate of 8.34 and averaged 18.26.

Most valuable player

Though Rajasthan Royals failed to make mark in the play-offs Jofra Archer won all hearts. With 20 wickets at an economy of just 6.55 and 113 runs at strike rate of 179.36 surely made him a deserving candidate of the Most Valuable Player of the season.

Emerging player of the year

No doubts for this award. Devdutt Padikkal of Royal Challengers Bangalore was named the IPL 2020 Emerging Player of the Year after his brilliant innings in the season. The 20-year-old counted 473 runs in IPL including five fifties, with a best score of 74.

Fairplay award

With one more trophy in the cabinet, the winners managed to lift this trophy as well. At an average of 10.3 points per game, the five-time champions collected 155 points. They bagged the award for upholding the spirit of the game and it will surely be a fair achievement for head coach Mahela Jayawardene.
