IPL 2020: Suresh Raina hints return; terms N Srinivasan as father figure

Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina, who went back to India amid the personal reasons, stated that one should not rule out his return to the Yellow Army side. The southpaw, in an interview with Cricbuzz, stated that going back to India was a personal decision but cleared the air, clearing that nothing was wrong between him and the club.

Raina said, "It was a personal decision and I had to come back for my family. There was something that needed to be addressed immediately on the home front. CSK is my family too and Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is very important to me and this was a tough decision. There is no issue between CSK and me.”

"I've been training even while quarantining here. You never know you might see me in the camp there again," Raina who retired from international cricket stated.  The left-handed batsman said that he has been training even while quarantining in homeland and mentioned that fans might see him in the yellow jersey in the UAE again.

Soon after he returned India, rumours started making buzz that there was rift between him and club chief N Srinivasan. Clearing the air, the Uttar Pradesh batsman said that Srinivasan is like a father figure to him and his comments were taken out of context.
