Kolkata Knight Riders shattered auction records by securing Australian all-rounder Cameron Green for a staggering Rs 25.20 crore after an intense bidding war with Chennai Super Kings, surpassing the previous overseas record held by Mitchell Starc.

While Green’s acquisition headlined the event, the auction also saw surprising snubs for Indian batters Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan, who went unsold despite Sarfaraz's recent domestic form. In other significant moves, Royal Challengers Bengaluru signed Venkatesh Iyer for Rs 7 crore.
