KBD Juniors Season 2 Pune leg to commence from September 5

Pune: KBD Juniors Season 2 will kickstart in the city from September 5. The tournament commenced in Hyderabad on Tuesday and it will now travel to 12 cities.

Schools from Chennai, Sonipat, Pune, Patna, Greater Noida, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Kolkata will be seen in action. 

Season 2 will see 288 schools taking part in the event. In Season One, 96 schools took part in the tournament and finals were won by South Point World School Sonipat.

The city qualifiers will be conducted during the month of  August and September while the national final will take place during the Pro Kabaddi League Season 6.

Format of the tournament

• KBD Juniors Season 2 will be conducted in 12 cities
• From each city, 24 Schools will take part in city qualifiers.
• 24 schools are divided into 8 groups of 3 teams, who will play against each other. From each group, the team finishing first will then make it to the round of city finals, which will take place during the home leg of each city as part of Pro Kabaddi League Season 6.
• Date of National Final is yet to announced.
