Pune: Shourya Khandelwal showed his class to lift the President Cup Trophy golf tournament played at Poona Club Golf Course.
Shourya secured 39 points to walk home with the trophy in the silver division. Shourya got good competition from Sharad Datta, who grabbed second spot. Shlok Jain, Anushka Lowlekar and Flack Thomas settled for third, fourth and fifth place respectively.
In the battle of bronze division, Pawan Sadarangani logged 40 points to clinch the title. Pawan beat Flack Luina and GS Roa, who took second and third position respectively.
The tournament was played in the Stableford format. The winner’s trophy was handed over by Rajiv Sangtani, President of Poona Club Ltd and Narotam Chowdhary, Poona Golf Club captain.
Pranav Mardikar won the longest drive award on Hole No 18 while closest to the pin and straightest drive awards were clinched by Rajat Budharaja and Rajnikant Jaitha on Hole No 16 and 2 respectively.
