PUNE: KP XI, City Club and Strikers FC advanced into the next round after registering contrasting wins over their respective opponents in the inaugural encounter of the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) Bicentennial football tournament, at the Ghorpadi Bazar football ground, here on Wednesday.
KP XI aided by a brace from Santosh Rathod scored a fluent 5-0 win over Ghorpadi Tamil United 5-0. In a one-sided game, Vicky Pujari (11th) opened the scoring early, before Nilesh Pardeshi (21st) added another to make it 2-0.
Santosh (25th & 31st) added two goals in a span of six minutes to take the scoreline to an unassailable 4-0 lead, before Alfred Negal (42nd) completed the tally,
