
Pune: Millennium High School boys defeated Falcon Sports Academy 26-10 in the semi-finals of the Under-13 Invitational Basketball Tournament being played at Phoenix Sports Academy, Ambegaon on Friday.
The Millennium lads were ahead with the score of 18-5 at half time. Aryaraj Bhosale (8) and Tejraj Choudhary (6) got on the scoreline for Millennium High School.
For Falcon Sports Academy, Riyan Keniya scored 3 points and Agastya Shetty scored 2 points.
In another game, Vidyanchal High School defeated Abhinava English School 42-7 in a one sided encounter. For Vidyanchal, Kunal Bhosale scored 8 points and Pranav Dekhele added 6 points to the tally. The score at half time read 32-7 with the Vidyanchal boys dominating. Meanwhile, Megh Atre scored 7 points for Abhinav English Medium School.
In the girls category, Sardar Dastur High School defeated Abhinava 29-15 to advance further. Abhinava were leading with the score of 9-10 at half time.
Vanshika Gothi top scored for Sardar Dastur with 12 points while Prutha Walhekar added four points to the tally. For Abhinava, Madhura Gore scored eight points while Ananditha Babar scored 4 points.
In another encounter, Chonde Patil Basketball Academy defeated Vidyanchal High School 36-12. The academy girls were in control of the game right from the start as they led with the score of 20-9 at half time.
Manasi Nirmalkar from Chonde Patil Basketball Academy was in good form as she scored 16 points. Adding to the scoreline was Sai Bramankar who scored 10 points.
Scoring for Vidyanchal were Siddhi Murkute who scored 6 points and Mrunal Bhosale who scored 4 points.
