Pune: Erin Nagarvala Boarding School defeated Symbiosis School, Prabhat Road 25-5  to advance further in the basketball event of Sakal Schoolymnpics being played at Deccan Gymkhana Basketball courts on Saturday.

In a close match, Wisdom World School beat Vidyanchal High School 37-28 to advance further. For Wisdom World School, Anurag Tendulkar scored 12 points while Pranshu Jain scored 13 points. For vidyanchal, Vignesh Fasge remained the top scorer with 14 points.

It was an easy game for The Bishop’s School, Camp as they defeated The Lexicon International School,Kalyaninagar with the score reading 27-4. 

For Bishop’s, Ojas Ambedkar scored 9 points while Jitesh Shah scored 6 points.

In another one sided encounter, Dr Kalmadi Shamrao High School showed their class to beat Holy Spirit Convent School 22-8 to win with ease.

Viraj Unecha (6) and Gautam Kulkarni (5) got on the score sheet for Dr Kalmadi Shamrao High School.

Meanwhile, Kroot Memorial High School had an good day in the middle as they  got past Lokseva English Medium School 12-4 to advance further. For Kroot Memorial School, Rohan Gorad put on a good show scoring 10 points.
