Talking about the defence, the Bavarian club has some of world class defenders. If the club has a star goalkeeper why not its defenders will prove their mettle along with Neuer. Even at 34, Bayern's captain continued to show why he is the finest gloved crusader the world has ever witnessed. World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard and Canadian teenager Alphonso Davies have been ever-presents in the full-back positions, with experienced Jerome Boateng brought in from the cold and Alaba from the left-hand side of defence. Niklas Sule and Lucas Hernandez had always stood like a solid defending wall for the club this year. The club with stellar attacking forwards also has solid defenders.

Bye Bye Flick

The 2020-21 campaign also marks the end of an era at the Allianz Arena as David Alaba, Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez will bid adieu to the club. Apart from this their Head Coach Hansi Flick will also leave the club.

Bayern manager Flick is set to leave the club after just over 18 months where he won seven trophies and became only the second coach after Pep Guardiola at Barcelona to win six trophies in one year. Flick has been linked with the managerial role at Germany, where he could take over from Joachim Low. He will be replaced by Julian Nagelsmann, who will leave Leipzig at the end of the season.

It’s Bayern's 30th Bundesliga title and its 31st German Championship including the title in 1932. The German league Bundesliga was formed in 1963 and the rest of Bayern’s titles came after its promotion in 1965.
