Pune: St Helena’s School, Camp girls clinched the gold medal in the 4x100 metre medley relay of the swimming event of Sakal presents Mapro Schoolympics in progress at Tilak Tank on Thursday.
St Helena swimmers Anshika Kadam, Vaishnavi Kadam, Swara Shinde, Sia Ranade and Shweta Bhurke finished with a timing of 6 minutes, 02.13 seconds.
Millennium National School, Karvenagar girls won the silver medal, finishing with a timing of 6 minutes, 22.20 seconds.
Niharika Kankekar, Gaurika Kaushik, Akshaja Dixit and Rutuja Nadgauda were the swimmers for Millennium National School. Winning the bronze medal was Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, Bhugaon who clocked 6 minutes, 44.56 seconds. Chinmai Pore, Meghal Kulkarni, Saloni Satav, Kanan Swami won it for the Bhugaon team.
Abhinava Vidyalaya English Medium School, Erandwane finished on the fourth position with a timing of 6 minutes, 50.06 seconds. The team of Abhinava included Ramah Powagi, Tanaya Apte, Isha Patil, Gauri Jagtap, Archita Shewade.
MES Balshikshan Mandir English Medium School, Kothrud finished on the fifth position with a timing of 6 minutes, 59.49 seconds. Tanvi Diwakar, Sayalee Chivate, Shivali Patil, Sharwari Hajare.
In the girls Under-12, 100 metre freestyle category, Sanjana Pala from Vikhe Patil Memorial School, S.B. Road won the gold medal clocking 1 minute, 11.52 seconds. Srishti Totapalli from Ryan International School, Bavdhan clinched the silver with a timing of 1 minute, 14.94 seconds. Rujuta Rajadnya from Abhinava Vidyalaya English Medium School had to settle for the bronze medal clocking 1 minute, 17.79 seconds.
Sanjali Nautiyal from Vibgyor High School, Balewadi just missed the medal as she was seconds late and finished on the fourth position. Nautiyal clocked 1 minute, 20.91 seconds.
