PUNE: Vidyashilp Public School, Kondhwa (Bk) defeated Seth Dagduram Katariya High School, Gultekdi 3-0 in the boys knockout football matches of Sakal presents Mapro Schoolympics in progress at NCL ground in Pashan here on Thursday.
Mubin Bhagwan scored the first goal in the fifth minute while Vedant Bhamare scored the second in the 11th minute. Pranav Magar added one goal to the tally in the 36th minute.
In another match, Iteach Babu Jagjeevan Ram English Medium Secondary School, Yerwada beat Netaji Subhashchandra Bose Boy’s Military School, Phulgaon 2-0 to enter the next round.
Aniruddha Chavhan (13th) and Pravin Rajput (27th) got on the scoreline for the Yerwada outfit.
Later Symbiosis School, Prabhat Road beat Late Mahadevroa Sonba Tupe English Medium Secondary School, Hadapsar 1-0 with Soham Ghaisas scoring the lone goal in the 8th minute.
Also winning with the same scoreline were Vidya Pratishthan’s Bhor English Medium School, Bhor who beat St Matthews Academy, Uruli Devachi. Sairaj Khopade (34th) got on the scoreline for the Bhor outfit.
