Apple’s first foldable iPhone, expected to be called the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra, is widely tipped to debut in September. Ahead of the anticipated launch, alleged dummy units have surfaced online, offering an early look at the possible design. While the appearance may divide opinion, it is likely to draw attention for its distinctive form factor.
Leaked dummy units shared by tipster Sonny Dickson offer a glimpse at the expected sizes of the iPhone Fold alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. The models, shown in placeholder finishes, highlight a notably wide foldable design.
Design mock-ups suggest that when folded, the device is more compact than the Pro models because of its reduced height. Although it will not use a flip-style form factor, it is still expected to fit comfortably in a pocket. When opened, the screen may be larger than that of a Pro Max, yet slightly smaller than an iPad mini.
Unlike typical foldables, the added width appears aimed at delivering a more tablet-like experience when unfolded, closer in proportion to a conventional tablet display.
Recent updates suggest Apple’s foldable iPhone remains on track, despite earlier reports hinting at delays. The revised outlook counters previous claims of a potential push to 2027, indicating that development is proceeding as planned with no major setbacks.
