Cybercriminals are carrying out very subtle and effective attacks with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). These include fraudulent phone calls, emails, and posing as bogus Google support ages to obtain important information. Therefore, Gmail users need to be vigilant.
According to a Forbes report, cybercrimes are calling people to be Google support ages. They tell you that your account has been called and ask you to recover it by entering recovery from the one to your email.
Many people have fallen for this trap because these recovery codes and emails look so authentic. Once the code is entered, hackers take control of your account, and your personal and financial information can be stolen.
Take immediate steps to ensure your account. If you receive such suspicious phone calls or emails, ignore them. If you have used the recovery code at the behest of hackers, change your password immediately.
1. Go to the settings of the Android development.
2. Tap on Google and select your name.
3. Click on Manage your Google account.
4. Open the security tab.
5. In the "How to sign in to your Google account" section, click "Password.".
6. Enter a new password and tap "Change Password.".
If you have your password, click "Forgot Password," answer the security questions, and reset your password.
Make two-factor authentication (2FA) mandatory for Gmail security
Activate two-factor authentication (2FA) for extra safety.
This will make it difficult for hackers to open your account even after your password.
1. Go to Google Account Security Settings.
2. Select "2-Step Verification" and click Start.
3. Add a phone number or use Google Author.
4. Make sure it is ready to use.
