AI features keep popping up at lightning speed, with every tech giant racing to make life easier for users. This time, Google stays ahead of the curve with a powerful new addition to its AI Mode in Search. The company has rolled out a feature that offers visual search results in response to conversational queries.
In its blog post, Google announced that users can now ask questions in a natural way and get a range of visual inspirations powered by AI Mode. For instance, if you're looking for room decor design ideas, AI Mode can now turn your query into a visual experience, showing curated images that match your style or theme.
As an added bonus, users can now request additional options from AI Mode and perform searches by uploading or capturing an image. Each visual result is accompanied by a relevant link, allowing users to quickly explore specific items or related content.
Google Search’s AI Mode is designed to handle in-depth queries, allowing users to ask complex, multi-layered questions that previously required several individual searches. Initially available in English, Google has now extended support to other languages including Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, Indonesian, Korean, and Japanese.
This feature is particularly useful for online shoppers, allowing them to describe their desired items in natural language and receive results without navigating numerous filters. With the advanced multimodal and language capabilities of Gemini 2.5, AI Mode can identify details and objects in a photo and search for them. Additionally, you can search for a specific item within an image and pose follow-up questions about it.
However, the feature is currently limited to those living in the United States, but Google is expected to bring it to the rest of the world in the future.
