Google has officially announced that the Pixel 10a will launch in India. In a short 15-second teaser video, the company revealed the phone’s design and confirmed the pre-order schedule. While the launch date is confirmed, the full specifications have yet to be officially disclosed and remain largely based on leaks and rumors.
Google has announced that pre-orders for the Pixel 10a will start on February 18, 2026, which is earlier than the Pixel 9a's March release. In India, those who subscribe to the Google Store mailing list by 1:29 PM IST on February 13 will gain early access to the pre-order offer.
Although Google hasn’t shared an official spec sheet, credible leaks suggest the following likely hardware:
Processor: Tensor G4 chipset with Titan M2 security
Display: 6.285-inch FHD+ OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 2,000 nits peak HDR brightness
RAM & Storage: 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage
Battery: 5,100mAh battery with wired fast charging and wireless charging
Software: Android 16 with a promise of seven years of OS and security updates
Official pricing is still pending, but reports suggest the Pixel 10a could start at around ₹49,999 for the 128GB variant, while the 256GB model may cost up to ₹69,999. Final pricing is expected to be announced during the February 18 pre-order event.
The camera configuration is expected to mirror the previous generation but with improved software enhancements:
Rear Camera: 48MP primary sensor with OIS + 13MP ultra-wide lens
Front Camera: 13MP selfie camera capable of 4K video recording at 30fps
Features: Google has teased improved photography performance and is expected to include Gemini AI tools such as Magic Eraser and Best Take
The preview showcases a sleeker and more minimalist design. The most significant alteration is the flat rear camera module that aligns with the back panel, replacing the previous "camera bar" protrusion. The phone includes a metal frame, wider bezels, and a centrally positioned hole-punch display.
The teaser highlights a new blue colorway similar to ‘Iris’ or ‘Indigo.’ Other leaked color options include Obsidian (black), Fog (white), Lavender, and a new reddish shade called Berry.
