With Google I/O just around the corner and the Pixel 11 series expected later this year, a new leak from the Mystic Leaks Telegram channel has revealed a notable possible design shift.
According to the report, Google may remove the infrared thermometer sensor from the Pixel 11 Pro lineup, including the Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold models. Instead, the camera bar could feature a new RGB LED system called “Pixel Glow,” designed to display alerts, notifications, and AI-driven signals.
Unlike the broader lighting style seen on some phones like Nothing’s Glyph system, Google’s version is expected to be more subtle and integrated into the camera bar. It may also be closely tied to Gemini AI, offering small visual cues rather than full customization. However, it could be limited mainly to system functions and possibly reserved for Pro models only.
Beyond design changes, the Pixel 11 series is tipped to continue Google’s hardware evolution with the new Tensor G6 chip built on a 2nm process. Expected upgrades include faster CPU performance, improved AI processing through an upgraded TPU, a PowerVR GPU, Titan M3 security chip, and a MediaTek M90 modem.
The lineup is also rumored to include a 6.3-inch Pixel 11, a higher-end Pixel 11 Pro with improved display and cameras, a larger 6.8-inch Pro XL, and a Pixel 11 Pro Fold with dual displays and a near–5,000mAh battery. Overall, the focus appears to be shifting away from rarely used features like the thermometer toward more visible, everyday interactions that enhance usability and AI integration.
