Old vs New JioHotstar Subscription Plans

  • Quarterly Mobile Plan: Old ₹149 → New ₹149 (no change)

  • Annual Mobile Plan: Old ₹499 → New ₹499 (no change)

  • Quarterly Super Plan: Old ₹299 → New ₹349

  • Annual Super Plan: Old ₹899 → New ₹1,099

  • Annual Premium Plan: Old ₹1,499 → New ₹2,199

What’s New in JioHotstar Plans

JioHotstar will maintain three subscription levels: Mobile, Super, and Premium. The Mobile and Super plans will still include advertisements, so ads will appear during movie or show streaming. The new basic option is the Mobile monthly plan priced at Rs 79, aimed at users who primarily watch content on their phones and are not concerned with viewing on larger screens.

Mobile Plans

One aspect that could irritate some users is that the Mobile plan excludes Hollywood content from its basic subscription. To access Hollywood titles, JioHotstar provides an add-on for Rs 49 per month. This add-on can also be included in extended packages, with quarterly and annual prices at Rs 129 and Rs 399, respectively.

Super Plan: The Super plan costs ₹149/month, supports two devices simultaneously, and offers 1080p Full HD on mobile, web, and living-room devices. Quarterly and annual options are ₹349 and ₹1,099, respectively, effective January 28.

Premium Plan: The Premium plan costs ₹299/month (₹699 quarterly, ₹2,199 annually) and supports up to four devices with 4K resolution and Dolby Vision. Most content is ad-free, but live sports and events will still show ads.

When Do the New Plans Begin?

The new monthly plans and revised quarterly/annual rates will be effective from January 28, 2026. If you’re thinking of switching plans or renewing for a longer term, check your current subscription now before the new pricing takes over.
