Expanded company page verification

Expanded company page verification was previously limited to established firms, but now it will be available to more companies, including small businesses with a paid premium page subscription. According to LinkedIn, 85% of business buyers consider trust crucial when selecting partners, and expanding verification is expected to help smaller firms build strong relationships with customers, prospects, and jobseekers.

Recruiter Workplace Verification

Recruiter workplace verification requires individuals with recruiter-related job titles to verify their workplace. LinkedIn believes this feature will build trust and give jobseekers more confidence, knowing they are interacting with legitimate hiring professionals.

Executive job title verification

Executive job title verification mandates that senior roles, such as managing directors and vice presidents, also undergo workplace verification to reduce the risk of impersonation at leadership levels.

Additionally, LinkedIn emphasized that its safety infrastructure already blocks over 99% of fake accounts and scams before they are reported. The platform prevented 80.6 million fake accounts from registering between July and December 2024.

Besides verification, LinkedIn is introducing various tools to enhance job search safety: the platform now offers verification badges on job listings, message alerts to identify potential scams, and a filter to display only verified job postings, all aimed at making job searches safer and more reliable.
