Downdetector recorded around 500 user reports as fans attempted to stream the event.

Although Netflix assured that its service was functioning normally, some users reported difficulties with Chromecast and caption controls during the game.
Downdetector responded to the issue on X, stating, "User reports indicate problems with Netflix since 12:59 PM EST." Despite the surge in complaints, Netflix’s official server status page showed no signs of a widespread outage. In a statement, the company clarified, “We are not currently experiencing an interruption to our streaming service.”
Although Netflix did not acknowledge a widespread outage, numerous fans voiced their dissatisfaction online, particularly regarding casting restrictions and accessibility features. A significant number of users reported issues with using Chromecast to stream the live NFL game.
Netizens took to social media to express their frustration over streaming issues during the NFL game. One viewer complained, “Prohibiting casting an NFL game from the Netflix app to a Chromecast is maybe one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of.” Another user voiced their annoyance, saying, “Why can't I close captions?” Additional comments echoed widespread dissatisfaction, with one user asking, "Why is the Netflix app so locked down?" and another warning, “Netflix is already crashing and the game hasn’t even started.”
The quality of streaming was also criticized, as noted by a fan's comment, "Pay for pixels. Netflix has the worst streaming quality of any platform hands down."
